A Lot Of Work Ahead!

At the time of writing, the Jaguars just had their second preseason home loss to the Carolina Panthers and although head coach, Doug Marone, talked a lot about quarterbacks, the main thing that came out was that the Jaguars have a lot of work ahead of them.

Marone also doesn’t have a decision yet on the starting quarterback. Will it be Chad Henne or will it be Blake Bortles?

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS: Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, cornerbacks: Okay, so we know the story about Blake Bortles – enough already!

There is hope in Jacksonville on defense, however. A massive Calais Campbell joins a formidable front seven led by Malik Jackson, Yannick Ngakoue (promising pass rusher ) and Telvin Smith the linebacker.

The Jaguars also bring a very talented pair of young corners to the foray, Ramsey, and Bouye (from the Texans). Ramsey brought some attitude to the team with him sporting a fearless style of defense. This pair of NFL’s top corner duos could be just what the team needs.

5 Fun Facts about the Jaguars.

  1. Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles threw his first NFL TD pass in a Jacksonville loss to the Colts in 2014 when he hit Allen Hurns on a 63 yard scoring play,
  2. Although the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars came into the league in the same year, Carolina is officially the 29th NFL team and Jacksonville is the 30th,
  3. Due to the original Jaguars logo looking too much like the logo for the Jaguar automobile, an agreement was worked out where Jaguar would be the official automobile of the Jacksonville Jaguars,
  4. The first player enshrined in the Jaguars “Pride of the Jaguars” (the official Jaguars Hall-of-Fame) was Offensive Lineman Tony Boselli, who also happens to be the first player ever drafted by Jacksonville.
  5. In 1999, just the Jaguars fourth season in the league, they compiled a 14-2 record which was the best in the NFL that year!
